Together, We Can Affect Change in San Francisco
Before we ever conceived of Expert Pet, our team was guided by one principle: To help make our local community better. With that in mind, we thought of ways to make San Francisco's OMI neighborhoods more equitable places to live. Our first good is to provide quality foods and services at prices that can support our staff's living wage, without excluding our neighbors who can't always afford to shop local. We want to be the best, friendliest, and most welcoming pet boutique to ever come to San Francisco.
Or second initiative is to improve the Ocean Avenue corridor by adding pet waste containers on every block.
We set a reasonable number of 10 pet waste containers. We sought to get support from our neighbors – yes even our neighbors – to our local businesses and organizations. As of June, we have six containers ready to go.

Ever wondered why you can't find locally sourced products at the stores you shop in or order from online? Wether it's a local entrepreneur who doesn't have the resources to expand, or a person who decides to keep things small, Expert Pet seeks to find and support other businesses at their scale.
Wag
Expert Pet is Proud to provide San Francisco, CA with products created or designed in the Bay or California as a whole.
In fact, one of our first products to introduce our customers were Wag Pet Gear's custom bandanas and clothing. Hand-made in Carmel, CA -- where we fell in love with the dog-friendly atmosphere -- Wag produces cute designs for dogs and cats to show their style as well as their owner's. This one-woman owned business inspires with its creative patterns, reversible innovation, and creative spirit.
Jeffrey's Natural Pet Foods
Jeffrey's is well-known for those familiar with two things 1) San Francisco's pet scene and 2) High quality food, supplements, and treats for their pets.
When we visited their store on Noe, we knew we had to have their product! As Jeffrey's first wholesale client ever, Expert Pet is extremely honored to share the goodness to our friends in the neighborhood. After contacting this woman-lead and LGBTQ+ owned business, offers select cuts of meat for your pet to enjoy in the five seconds it will take for them to woof it down.
It's honestly so good, we haven't met a dog who has turned their Turkey Jerky down!
CharPOOCHerie
The second woman-owned product to come into our store comes from the hall of Instagram. Based in the Bay Area, The Charpoocherie Board includes hand-made treats and special tokens for your pet to enjoy. Expert Pet is the first retail store to ever sell this delectable goodie box.
Piko
This special brand believes in the power of Healing. Piko brings cute leashes and portable waste pouches to you. This is another Expert Pet showcase, in which we bring a product to the shelves that has never been in stores before. Piko is a San Francisco, woman-owned business and is happy to share their power of healing to you.
